Luton: Player awards
Leon Barnett and David Bell won two awards each at the Luton Town end of season awards night on Sunday evening.
Barnett was voted Luton Town Supporters Club Player of the Year and also won the Player's Player of the Season title.
Internet Player of the Season and Young Supporters' Player of the Season awards went to David Bell.
Goal of the season was Keith Keane's well worked and nicely finished goal at the Hawthorns in the 3-2 defeat against the very lucky on the night West Brom!
oung player of the year was rookie keeper Dean Brill, who has performed very well since Kevin Blackwell took over and gave him the starts he deserved.
In a poor season, very few players could say that they have shown any consistency and the awards to the players concerned were justified. If David Bell continues to play next season as he did at the end of this season, he will be a major candidate for the awards next season.
