Luton Windfall
Derby's failure to beat Crystal Palace on Sunday activates the promotion clause in the deal which took Rowan Vine to Birmingham City.
Luton sold Vine for £2.5 Million but with a further Half Million to be added if Birmingham secured promotion to the Premiership.
Derby's defeat leaves Birmingham top of the Championship table and regardless of results in next Sunday's final matches of the season, Birmingham cannot finish lower than second.
Sunderland, who signed Carlos Edwards from the Town are also promoted.
Birminham need to win their last game to finish champions while Sunderland, in their visit to Kenilworth Road, need to win while Bitmingham lose or draw to seal an amazing rise from bottom to top under Roy Keane.
Meanwhile Luton will want to beat the Black Cats and hope Southend lose or draw to avoid the wooden spoon.
