Kevin Foley's operation to remove a bone spur from an ankle joint has been successful.
Thi Irish U 21 international is expecting to be given permission to start jogging soon and could be fit for the start of the season.
The youngster, at 22 years of age, is one of the more experienced players in what remains of the squad currently, having debuted for the Hatters five years ago, and is looking forward to being a role model for youngsters coming through.
He told Luton on Sunday:
'Even though I'm young, I feel like an older player as I've been here for four years now.
'Hopefully, I'll be using my experience next season to help the younger lads.
'The best way to learn is off good pros.
'When I was growing up I looked up to the older players at Luton and followed their example.'
