Luton sign Furlong
Luton have completed their 4th signing of the close season by securing the services of Paul Furlong on a free transfer. The 38 yr old striker, who has had more clubs than Tiger Woods, agreed a 1 yr deal this morning.
Furlong once moved to Chelsea for £2.5 million, and to Birmingham City for £1.5 million.
His spell at Birmingham was his most prolific when he scored 56 goals in 153 appearances.
Kevin Blackwell knows what the striker can do having been at Sheffield United when the player was on loan there.
Luton fans will not be overjoyed that Furlong has played for both their nemeses, Watford and QPR!
Furlong said to www.lutonown.co.uk:
'I haven't arrived just to make the numbers up. I want to be part of things and try to get promotion.
'I can tell, having spoken to Kevin Blackwell, that despite the Club being relegated last season, the ambition is very high.
'I feel there will be interesting times here at Luton next season. I still have a lot to offer and I believe I can do a job for the Club next season.'
