Leon Barnett is rumoured to be on the verge of a transfer to West Bromwich Albion for a fee of £2 million or £3 million depending which source you believe. In addition to whatever fee is involved a £500k bonus for either appearances or promotion is also mooted and a 15 % sell on clause..

A further rumour suggests that Fulham are set to gazzump WBA with a straight cash £3 million bid plus a 17% sell on clause. Either way it looks doubtfull he will see the week out as a Luton player.

Luton Town have taken French right winger David Martot on a week's trial.

Martot, 25, recently at French Second Division Le Havre, may feature in the friendly at Rugby.
