Luton Boss targets loanee

Kevin Blackwell stated in his pre-match press conference that he hopes to bring in a loan player by tomorrow's game at home to Carlisle United.

He also said that Bolton Wanderers have agreed to allow Jaraslaw Fojut to remain with the Hatters until the end of the season. However, the Bolton boss warned that other clubs may scupper Blackwell's hopes if they come in to buy him during the January Transfer Window.

The Town boss hinted that Richard Jackson will play at left back tomorrow, citing the fact that he has played in that position on numerous occasions for Derby County. He also seemed to have confirmed our suspicions that he reads the unofficial supporters' websites and their message boards when he said that Sol Davis is a long way from fitness, when he has never mentioned him at all previously.

Several posters on the message boards have been criticising the manager for failing to give Sol consideration and some have suggested that Sol will not play for him, so the mention may have been designed to answer the criticism without relating to it directly.
