Sol Davis and Peter Holmes are expected to take some part in the reserves match at Southend tomorrow.
Davis who sustained a knee ligament injury back in October in the 1-1 draw with Plymouth Argyle, at Kenilworth Road, has made good progress over the last month, although he may need a couple of reserve outings before he is ready to feature in the first team squad.
Holmes, who has been out since the Derby match over Christmas, is probably ahead of Davis in fitness and could well be available for selection at Preston on Saturday.
The reserves will field a strong team with Dean Brill, David Bell, Keith Keane and Leon Barnett all expected be involved.
