Luton Town v Derby County

Luton aim to halt a three match losing sequence since their excellent win at home to Reading, which has seen them slump to 12th in the table. Derby in 19th position are remarkably only six points behind Luton, and Mike Newell will be keen to get back to winning ways and finish the season on a high. Newell will sign a new four year contract extension after consultation with his solicitor.

Mike Newell said ahead of the game:

'We want a top-10 finish, that would be a real achievement in our first season back in the Championship.'

Terry Westley pointed out the fact that Michael McIndoe will be returning to Kenilworth Road keen to show Luton what they missed out on by not keeping faith with him.

'Knowing Michael, he will be desperate to play against Luton. He will want to show them and us what he can do.'

The match may come too soon for Markus Heikennen still suffering the effects of tonsilitis, but Ahmet Brkovic and Dean Morgan may be back in contention after Kevin Nicholls was injured against Leicester and may be out for the remainder of the season. Steve Robinson came through 90 minutes with the reserves on Tuesday and should play some part in the match.

If fit enough to play, I believe he will show how much he has been missed while out through injury

Paul Peschisolido may come into contention as Kevin Lisbie is still doubtful wuith a hamstring problem. Michael McIndoe will probably play against the club who gave him his first professional opportunity.

Will want to shackle the Lively Carlos Edwards and stop the flow of crosses from the right.

If Luton play as they have in the last two defeats but with a little more fortune in front of goal, they should collect the points. Luton 2 - 0 Derby
