Luton and Coventry meet in a match which has little significance on the Championship and relies only on personal pride.
The game brings the return of the Little Sheff to Luton. Gary McSheffrey was a prolific scorer for Luton on his first loan spell, and while he had a second spell at the club, his opportunities were somewhat limited as Steve Howard and Rowan Vine were leading the line superbly and Mike Newell wisely decided not to tamper with the successful partnership.
Mike Newell told lutontown.co.uk:
'Sol (Davis)is really doubtful for the weekend and we are not going to put any pressure on him to come back before the end of the season.
'Niggly injuries can turn into serious injuries. Sol wants to play before the end of the season but we will have to make sure he is fit for that to happen.
'Coyney (Chris Coyne) has been booked in for his operation on Tuesday to have his knees sorted out so he is a no-go for the rest of the season. Nico (Nicholls)is still feeling a few twinges and Russ (Perrett)is struggling because he got studded on his instep.'
On the subject of replacements he said:
'It is an opportunity for those players to play. When you are missing a number of key players all at once, the onus is on the lads that come in, which is not really fair.
'I know those players will be up for it. Leon (Barnett) came on last week and showed us what he was capable of, so we have no worries about putting them into the side. However, I would prefer for these players to get their opportunity in a strong side.
'The lads will want to finish off the season in style, particularly the two home games. The Plymouth game will be a hard one because they have a good home record, particularly over recent months.'
Coyne, Nicholls, Underwood and Davis will all be missing and Russ Perrett is also doubtful.
Micky Adams told Coventry City's Official website:
'Mike Newell has put together a confident squad. They came up and brought all that confidence and belief into this season and they are top 10, and we want to finish in the top 10 if we can.
'I think between now and the end of the season we will do a certain amount of experimenting with the team, but I'm always mindful that we need to get results and that's what we will be trying to do.'
If he can get free down the flank and supply the ammunition for Steve Howard, Luton could take the points.
Stuart Giddings could make his first-team comeback after two knee surgeries.
Claus Jorgensen is out with a groin strain and and Isaac Osbourne's knee injury will keep him sidelined as well.
It's not as though he doesn't know where the goals are at Kenilworth Road, and he will be out to score agauinst his former colleagues. Ex hatters have a habit of coming back and sc oring against us!
With neither team having anything to play for it should be an open game. Luton 2-1 Coventry
