Luton have a lot to live up to following last year's fantastic third round performance against Liverpool.
QPR away does not exactly instil excitement in either club but Luton will want to avenge their 3-2 home defeat by the R's earlier in the season, when some comedy defending threw away three points which should have been in the bag by half time.
QPR are in a poor run of form, having lost seven of their last nine matches, while Luton have improved of late having only lost once in their last five.
The Town are, however, suffering incredibly bad luck in the way of injuries and the starting eleven will probably have to include sveral players who are returning from injury without regaining full fitness.
Mike Newell was extolling the virtues of the FA Cup competition on Lutontown .co.uk:
'It is a special competition. After a couple of years where people disregarded it - and I mean the big clubs, the Manchester Uniteds, the Liverpools and the Arsenals - I think they've realised how important it is again.'
Sampsa Timoska could make his debut after signing this week and Martin Rowlands and Marc Bircham should be fit to play after suffering recent knocks.
Usually plays well against Luton
Dean Kiely has been refused permission to play, by Portsmouth and Luton's injury and suspension woes continue, with David Bell suspended and Heikkinen ruled out after his horrendous injury at Birmingham. Foley is unlikely to be fit.
Berseford returns to first team action, and Dean Brill will be on the bench after returnuing from his Gillingham loan spell.
Newell is confident that Robinson and Langley will be fit and that Lewis Emanuel and Chris Coyne will also be available for selection.
Central defence or midfield he is getting stronger all the time.
I think Luton will battle for this one and I can see them getting a draw. 1-1
