Luton v Wolves preview

After a disappointing defeat at the hands of Norwich on Tuesday Luton have a bug task ahead with the visit of high-flying Wolves.

Strangely, Luton have the habit of performing better against the top sides than against the bottom ones, which is worrying since they have to play 6 of the last 12 against relegation threatened teams.

Today's match is one from which Luton desperately need maximum points to give a little breathing space in the dogfight that now begins its run in.

Luton Town Team News:

Luton wil have Richard Langley and Sol Davis available after suspensions of 1 and 3 games respectively.

Chris Coyne is back in training but not ready for this one, and Paul Underwood, Sam Parkin, Russ Perrett and Ahmet Brkovic are also still out, but Warren Feeney is nearing full fitness and will probably feature on the bench.

New loan signing Clarke Carlisle is likely to go straight into the sidewith either Leon Barnett or Markus Heikkinen pushed forward to a holding midfield role. Meanwhile Bjorn Runstrom will continue up front having signed for a further month on loan from Fulham.

olves will be without the suspended Darren Potter, while Lewis Gobern and Kevin O'Connor are still sidelined with hamstring injuries.

Charlie Mulgrew, Michael Oakes, Carl Ikeme, Carl Cort, Craig Davies, Dan Jones and Gabor Gyepes are also out.

Player to watch: David Bell

Has been Luton's most consistent player of late.

Wolverhampton Wanderers Team News:

Wolves will be without the suspended Darren Potter. Lewis Gobern and Kevin O'Connor are still missing with hamstring injuries.

Charlie Mulgrew, Michael Oakes, Carl Ikeme, Carl Cort, Craig Davies, Dan Jones and Gabor Gyepes are also out.

Player to watch: Michael McIndoe

Would like to perpetuate the irony of returning players scoring aginst their former employers.
