Luton Town v Hartlepool

With 9 new signings a new look Luton Team will want to get off to a good start against newly promoted Hartlepool.

It will be interwesting to see which of the squad have found favour to be included but Brill, Coyne and Perry would seem to be nailed on to play as they are still the only Keeper and Cetre backs in the squad.

Vital Quotes:

Kevin Blackwell on Lutontown.co.uk:

Referring to difficult selection decisions he said:

'They have given me a headache I have to say, but that's the sort of headache that as a manager you want. There is no doubt about that, and hopefully that will be a headache that will continue through the rest of the season.'

On his new signings he went on to say:

'I've been delighted with the quality of experience that we've signed. Perry, Peschisolido and Currie all had opportunities to stay and play in the Championship. Chris Perry felt that Luton had a better chance of success out of the two clubs he was going to and that just tells you really that there is a belief about the place.'

Danny Wilson to PA Sport:

'A team that have just been relegated are still finding their feet early on, as we found out last season. The expectation levels from their fans will be very high so let's hope we can catch them on the hop.'

Luton Town Team News:

Richard Langley and Paul Underwood are still long term injury absetees.

David Bell is rated 50/50 to be fit in time and Sol Davis is two weeks away with an ankle injury. Stephen O'Leary is thought to be fit again after a dead leg. All otherss in the squad are fit and available.

Player to watch: Paul Peschisolido

- has looked dangerous in pre-season.

Hartlepool Team News:

Andy Monkhouse is suspended after picking up a red card against Rochdale at the end of last season but Hartlepool have no other injury problems and have a full squad available.

Player to watch: Godwin Antwi

- has looked solid for Hartlepool in their pre-season.
