Luton take on Leeds whose 100% start has reduced their 15 point penalty to just 6 points in three games.
Luton will want to build on the excellent result against Sunderland in the Carling Cup, and as the team have begun to gel as a unit, an away fixture against the team who would be top of the league but for their penalty, will give us a good idea of how they will fare for the rest of the season.
Kevin Blackwell told Luton's official website:
'I would be liar if I said this wasn't a fixture that didn't interest me,' Blackwell told the club's website.
'Going back to one of your old clubs is tinged with either sadness or happiness, and I have a bit of both.
'I don't think I have anything to prove, I think the record shows that I am about the fourth or fifth best manager in Leeds' history and my points ratio puts me in the the top four managers in their history.'
Wise made three signings on deadline day, with Filipe De Costa being a very late one. whether any of those will feature in the match is debatable.
Leeds are without Tore-Andre Flo and Leon Constantine.
Andy Hughes is rated 50/50 after a groin injury.
Probably the one to watch for scoring goals from nothing.
Luton are still without Parkin Underwood and Davis, but Brill is fit again and will have to wait to see if he gets his place back from Loanee David Forde who has looked useful so far. Darren Currie is available again as is Dave Edwards after sitting out the cup win and new loan signing Jaraslaw Fojut may feature on the bench. Paul Peschisolido is nearing fitness but this game may be one too soon.
Didn't envisage having to say that this season, but the grand-daddy of the team is on fire at the moment.
Luton do not fare well at Elland Road having lost 13 and won only 5 of the 23 games played there.
However having lost the last four, we are long overdue a win.
C Oliver (Northumberland) Likes a card or two so Dirty Leeds could be in for some today and Furlong had better rein himself in a bit.
Leeds 0 - 0 Luton I get the feeling Blackwell might play a very defensive game hoping to catch them on the break, possibly 5-4-1
