Luton better but no points

Only 150 stalwarts made the long trip to Plymouth to see Vine shot wide a feew minutes later when well placed after a good run by Edwards, and Luton showed that they have lost the art of scoring. They have always looked like conceding all season but also looked capable of scoring plenty themselves, but during this long run of defeats, their worst in 106 years, they have lost their composure in front of goal, which is ironic coming on the back of their biggest win of the season against Leeds United.

Almost immediately, Brkovic found space at the far post but when it looked easier to score tha to mis he drove the ball across the face of goal and wide.

On the break Hayles beat Kiely but saw his shot creep past the far post, then Seip struck the bar with a smart header.

The second half began as had the first with both teams taking time to settle and the game was beginning to have 0-0 written all over it.

However, in the 61st minute as Paul Connolly hopefully chased what appeared to be a lost cause,he somehow kept the ball in play and got in a teasing cross. It went to Hayles who mised it and wrongfooted Kiely and the Town defence and fell to Djorjic at the back pot who drove it into the net.

To be fair, after that Luton really did not show much fight and heads most definitely dropped.

David Bell's and Dean Morgan's introduction did little to improve matters.

Vine blasted a shot high over the bar which was hit far more in hope than anticipation and it was not until the death that they might have snatched an equaliser. Dean Morgan clipped in a good cross and Markus Heikkinen headed the ball goalwards but it grazed the pot before hitting the side netting.

All in all it was a better performance from the Town but they need to break this sequence very soon as they are now lying agonisingly close to the relegation zone.

Star Player

Bojan Djordjic 7 - was the driving force in midfield and took the only clear cut chance of the game for Plymouth.
